Latte
coffee beansWe purchased some different coffee roasts in Montreal a few weeks ago with the aim of brewing at home and comparing the difference in them. Yes I know the purists are moaning that this too long to leave beans sitting on the counter… whatever.

We started with the Dark Kenyan and made our first home latte since arriving in Canada. Armed with only a stovetop espresso machine and a mechanical milk frother we did our best and the result was just OK. We should have made it stronger, and the hand frother does not compare to a real steam driven machine and jug.

After making the first two lattes with the dark roast we were meant to make some with the medium roast too. However having a teething baby and the first snow of the year falling outside we, sadly, became too distracted to continue. Ah well, may try again this afternoon.
